Each day brings new stories that once would have been rejected by the writers at The Onion. It’s ironic that our corrupt leaders’ figurative masks have come off, at the same time the literal ones are on the verge of being sewn onto our faces. They used to try to put up a front; to pretend they weren’t the monsters they are. Now they don’t care.
Walter Cronkite displayed a trustworthy facade, even when he lied so blatantly about the JFK assassination. Almost no Americans realized that he was the voice of the Owl every year for decades, during the bizarre occult gatherings in the California woods at Bohemian Grove. Even though they towed the party line on all issues, journalists used to seem more realistic in their roles. They had media people in the Council on Foreign Relations then, and they attended Bilderberg meetings. I guess they used to be better actors.
There are still empty headed former cheerleaders all over the airwaves, smiling vacuously as they taste the latest recipe on air from some celebrity chef. Some of them can say “you guys” as innocently as Katie Couric, the inventor of this persona, did for so long. But there are no longer any pretenses as to where these state mouthpieces stand politically. Once, they struggled unconvincingly to hide their allegiance to the Warren Report, for example. Now, they don’t attempt at to conceal their loyalty to the corrupt ruling order. On any issue. The message is clear: no dissent allowed.
There are serious efforts to criminalize the questioning of election results. Seems just a bit contrary to “democracy” to me, but what do I know. I’m just a “conspiracy theorist.” Social media started the ball rolling here, censoring anyone questioning the presidential vote, and even banning the President of the United States. As much as the media back in the day hated the unlikeable Richard Nixon, would they have dared to “cancel” him? Now, “canceling” someone is as routine as a new tattoo.
“Factcheckers” have supplanted the husband and wife folklore team of Snopes, as the guardians of official tyranny. Think of them as bodyguards for our horrific leaders. The only time they ever question anything is when someone questions their employers. They are skeptical of the skeptics. I’m sure they don’t make the millions that on air talking heads do, but the pay is probably substantially more than authors like me make. There aren’t very many rich “conspiracy theorists.”
Families are being torn asunder by this contrived “pandemic” which is fueled by a media-driven superstitious panic, not any “science.” I am experiencing this in my own family. It is tragically possible that I may never see a very close relative again, thanks to the Salem-like fear of the Unvaccinated. I struggle to cope with this, and I’m sure millions of Americans have similarly sad situations. I had little success in waking up most people to the crime and corruption all around them, but even mentioning the word “vaccine” now triggers the sheeple more than a MAGA hat did.
Never has the mob mentality been more evident than it is today. A great book, Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, studied this eternal phenomenon in the mid-nineteenth century. Little has changed, it appears. All it would take would be a few weeks of state “journalists” and celebrities touting the virtues of public hangings to bring back one of the most popular spectacles of the past. Families could enjoy a picnic together again in the shadow of the gallows. It would be even more welcomed if those hanged were “insurgents” or “conspiracy theorists.”
Americans had been transformed, for the worse, even before this plandemic started. Looking around at all the obese, rude, tattooed, pink-haired monstrosities that populate this country now, the term “Ugly American” has never seemed more appropriate. Maybe if they looked good, their startling gullibility and ignorance would be easier to take. But the combination of unattractive bodies and unreachable minds makes our task almost impossible. I often wonder why I care. They really don’t seem worth it. But a populist is for the people. And these are now largely the people.
If I didn’t have to live through this, I’d get some vicarious satisfaction out of watching those smug, sound asleep normies finally realize what’s going on. But I do have to live through it, and more importantly, this is the world my children will inherit. We all have a desire to leave the world a little better for those that follow, especially our loved ones. No matter how you look at it, my generation is not leaving a better world to their children and grandchildren. Instead, we’re leaving an Orwellian nightmare.
The lack of public outcry over the untold number of political prisoners rotting away in a Washington, D.C. prison ensures that there will be more political prisoners to come. If H.R. 350 passes, a “domestic terrorist” division will be created within the FBI and the Justice Department. We all know just who will be categorized as “domestic terrorists.” So, to quote Bill Murray’s character in Caddyshack, I got that going for me, too. So, opposition to the corrupt state will be considered “terrorism.” And probably more than half the country approves.
The so-called silent majority is long gone. And they’re gone because they stayed silent, and became the minority. Those awake to the corruption and tyranny are still remaining silent. No mass protests like in France, England, and elsewhere. America is finally actually Number One in something again; subservience to authority. No one obeys an order better than we do. USA! USA! You have to laugh at it, lest you cry, to paraphrase the old quote.
I pointed out, at the very beginning of this plandemic, that they were admitting they hadn’t isolated the COVID-19 strain. They still haven’t. Thus, they haven’t proven it exists. Obviously, without a proven strain, there can be no testable “variant” to it. But the sheeple are breaking off relationships with their closest family members over the deadly “Delta variant.” They are trusting Anthony Fauci, who was primarily responsible for thousands of “AIDS” deaths due to the dangerous AZT drug he was pushing, like he was George Washington. Or maybe I should say George Floyd.
We have to face the reality that half the country, at least, is so hopelessly stupid that they will literally do anything their evil overlords tell them to do. And they don’t think, and can’t be convinced, that their overlords are evil. Maybe the poet Thomas Gray had a point when he wrote, “Where ignorance is bliss, ‘tis folly to be wise.” But in this case, the ignorant aren’t blissful. They’re cowering in perpetual fear. But it may well be folly to keep fighting a force that can only be defeated by superior numbers. And we have those superior numbers. A war of attrition, as Ulysses S. Grant was fond of.
For those of us at the bottom of these rabbit holes, things have never been bleaker. It was hard enough to enlighten people about JFK, or 9/11, or Body Counts, without this fake pandemic, or fake “White Supremacists.” They can’t understand the simplest exercises in logic; you were vaccinated- if you’re not protected, whey did you get the jab? Or asking why the border would be left wide open to untested and unvaccinated immigrants, in such a dire situation.
The double standards in this plandemic are everywhere. Trump rallies and motorcycle gatherings are potential “super spreaders.” But BLM protests, and Obama’s extravagant birthday bash, are cool. The virus doesn’t have power in a few key circumstances. That’s “science.” Trust it! And pay no attention to the likes of Lady Pelosi, and Gavin Newsom, and Chris Cuomo not wearing their masks. That doesn’t matter. You just wear yours. Remember, do as I say, not as I do.
There are millions awake, in varying degrees, to this tyranny and corruption. But probably 90 percent or more of them continue to “trust the plan” and their hero Donald Trump. Even though Trump brags incessantly about “his” vaccine, which they very logically are suspicious of, they don’t sense the disconnect. They also seem fine with him throwing all those “insurgents” under the bus after promising to march with them to the Capitol. And never mentioning a word about them still being held in prison months later, some in solitary confinement and subjected to beatings.
Before this contrived “virus” drove a wedge in almost every American family, Donald Trump had thoroughly divided us back into that disastrous two-party system we’ve come to know and love. I’m a Trump agnostic- part of the smallest minority group in the world. America is largely split between those who hate Trump for things he never did, and those who love him for things he never did. Trump Derangement Syndrome is very real. But so is Trump Enablement Syndrome.
If the world ever regains its sanity, and throws off the shackles of figurative slavery, honest historians will look back at this period as the most deluded age of all. The Salem Witch Trials will pale by comparison. I don’t think there were millions of suspected “witches,” but there are millions of Unvaccinated, and millions of potential “domestic terrorists.” The bully will not stop demanding your lunch money until you fight back. It’s long past time for us to fight back against these bullies.
Totally agree. Funny you ended the article with the lunch-money bully, because I just used that analogy with a friend the other day, to illustrate the daily struggle. I also use the obese, tattooed, pink-haired monster example very often in conversations. One hopeful thing I have learned over the past 18 months, is how successful I have been at dropping out, over the past three decades. Since I did not move to a cave, I sometimes questioned if I actually HAD dropped out. I've got the answer now. Indeed I was successful in that endeavor.
As a late boomer oh how I trusted Walter. He was so calming. Only now have the scales dropped from my eyes 50 years later.Your comparison to a wise old Bohemian Owl is spot on. He may have been an unwitting mouthpiece like the rest of many of our modern "journalists" but oh how much better our world would be if they would shine a light instead of throwing shade.
