I was in a take and bake pizza joint the other day. As I waited for the 4 girls behind the counter make my pizza I studied their faces. Each girl had numerous facial piercings. Mary was the vessel chosen by God to give birth to & to raise Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the world. I don't dispute a single thing in verses 46-49, however there's not even a *peep* there (or anywhere else in The Bible) about Mary saving mankind, let alone her being mankind's "only hope".

Over the past several years, my loyalty there has diminished as I have listened to the exact same topics beaten to death with a cultic following by chat members who then spin off and start adoring broadcasts and invite each other to appear on each other's "shows". The common thread is repeating how awful Trump is and how noble one is and for never voting. No hope, no answers, just spending the entire day and evening jumping to each others shows and stroking each other for how "with it" they are.

But the strategy was questionable. The movie-like action was probably good for a blip in Trump's popularity; I think most people got a petite thrill when they learned of it.
However, since the drug police were tracking the boat, why not let it continue on its way till it docked and the recipients showed up to claim the cargo? That way the authorities could have rolled up both the crew and, more importantly, the gang who were customers. Smugglers are a dime a dozen -- the distribution network, far more dangerous, should be the prime target.
That's how it was handled a few years ago in a similar situation in England. A known contraband-laden truck was carried across the Channel by ferry. The drug squad let it disembark and take to the road while they kept an eye on it. Once it reached the destination where the exchange deal was to take place they swooped down and bagged everyone involved in the smuggling operation, not just a truck driver.

I was in a take and bake pizza joint the other day. As I waited for the 4 girls behind the counter make my pizza I studied their faces. Each girl had numerous facial piercings. Mary was the vessel chosen by God to give birth to & to raise Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the world. Therefore, without doubt, the soul of Mary must be incomprehensibly extraordinary & was uniquely honored by God. I don't dispute a single thing in verses 46-49, however there's not even a *peep* there (or anywhere else in The Bible) about Mary saving mankind, let alone her being mankind's "only hope".

While the present events that seem to roll out each and every day have caused me to grow more wearied of Trump, I'm still cheering for a rabbit to be pulled from the hat. A real rabbit, not a very very really big beautiful fake rabbit, but a real rabbit.
You point out his childish manner of speech/that has bothered me from his arrival on the scene. It's maddingly irritating/I expect it in children as they develop in their language skills but a man who is senior in age even to me shouldn't sound like Judy Viorst in "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" . Even worse is the cheering congress of baboons including cabinet members and pundits who repeat his "big beautiful" whatever adjectives.

With that said, I have for a long time now abandoned most every podcast that I formerly scheduled my life around. Having been a ditto head before I even knew who Rush was, I graduated from the radio talk shows to the more insightful daily shows that broadcast throughout the week on platforms like Rumble. Over the past several years, my loyalty there has diminished as I have listened to the exact same topics beaten to death with a cultic following by chat members who then spin off and start adoring broadcasts and invite each other to appear on each other's "shows". The common thread is repeating how awful Trump is and how noble one is and for never voting. No hope, no answers, just spending the entire day and evening jumping to each others shows and stroking each other for how "with it" they are.
So, thank you for the glimmer. The hope that perhaps we boomers were born into. After all, we had just won the big war. Good guys and bad guys were easy to define. TV went off the air at midnight. Cubby and Karen were always cute and Darlene pretty. We had the Wonderful World of Disney and all was right with the world.

I used to actually believe that was the goal of government and politicians. Now I know better. Another group of researchers carried out the same study in countries like the Netherlands which are considered more egalitarian expecting to find more importance given to public opinion. Nope. Only the views of the 1 percent matter.
