I was in USMC late 1960s. I learned about the Liberty many years ago. It is a no brainer. It was a deliberate attack. There are many excellent books, videos, and articles on it. It was a very dirty act but nothing ever happens to America's "greatest ally".

Went to church this Sunday and someone stood and "bore testimony" about how grateful they are for the men and women in our military and how they protect us and keep us "free." Made me sick to my stomach.

Recently went on a road trip to the southern USA and stopped at a military park/cemetery in Vicksburg, Mississippi. In the cemetery there are thousands of graves of Union soldiers (confederates were piled into mass graves elsewhere because national cemeteries are for union soldiers only). Most of the graves are marked by a simple white marble cube with a number. Why? Because the remains placed therein were unable to be identified. Thousands of these little white marble cubes dotted the green hillsides. I felt such a depressed and awful spirit while I was there. So many men, their lives wiped out and for what? The part that slapped me in the face was that all of these thousands of men were so willing to pick up arms and slaughter their fellow Christians and fellow countrymen. What compels men to turn themselves into killers of other men? War is evil. All of it. Yet so many embrace it, love it, make a career of it and we venerate and adore them.

You bring up a very important point. Normally, following orders does not preempt moral values. In fact, following orders is governed by a virtue, that of obedience. For centuries, Monks took a vow of obedience in order to combat the vice of the pride of life. HOWEVER(!!!!!) Obedience is not the highest virtue, and the only person to whom we can give absolute, blind obedience is God Himself, as when he ordered Abraham to sacrifice his only son Issac, or when Joshua was ordered to destroy the city of Jericho. To all other persons, our obedience is predicated and subordinated to the Natural and Divine Law. Nobody can order an inferior, even one who has taken an oath, to violate the moral law or his conscience. And anybody who would follow such an order makes himself an accessory to the crime of the superior.
If I had been the squadron leader of that attack force, I would have refused to return to the Carrier until I was satisfied the crew of the Liberty was out of immediate danger (aka The Israeli strike aircraft had left radar range) and I was assured an escort was on the way to protect the Liberty. The only reason to have abandoned the Liberty would have been if the Aircraft Carrier itself was imminent danger or civilians needed to be protected.
Every serviceman should remember that he does not take an oath to any individual but rather the set of principles enshrined by the US Constitution, especially to protect the rights to life and liberty, and this is the highest duty of any serviceman, even if it means contramanding the orders of a superior. He swears it was prior to 4 AM (Pacific Time) at least one full hour prior to the Liberty even being attacked. What should tha tell us?

In 1973, I was in "The Suck", what we enlisted men lovingly called the U.S. Navy. I was standing midnight shift, barracks security watch at NAS (Naval Air Station) Oceana, Virginia, a Master Jet Base, and I've heard from a good source it is the largest military base in the world. The supervisor was an E-6, Petty officer 1st Class, Lifer. He was on the carrier that received the Liberty's distress call and he told me how the entire ship (A carrier has approx. 5,000 sailors. It's called "Steel City".) went into shock when they heard that LBJ in D.C. instructed the carrier's skipper to immediately abort the counter-attack and order the fighter planes to return to the ship, which of course he did. Went to church this Sunday and someone stood and "bore testimony" about how grateful they are for the men and women in our military and how they protect us and keep us "free." Made me sick to my stomach.

Recently went on a road trip to the southern USA and stopped at a military park/cemetery in Vicksburg, Mississippi. In the cemetery there are thousands of graves of Union soldiers (confederates were piled into mass graves elsewhere because national cemeteries are for union soldiers only). Most of the graves are marked by a simple white marble cube with a number. Why? Because the remains placed therein were unable to be identified. Thousands of these little white marble cubes dotted the green hillsides. I felt such a depressed and awful spirit while I was there. So many men, their lives wiped out and for what? The part that slapped me in the face was that all of these thousands of men were so willing to pick up arms and slaughter their fellow Christians and fellow countrymen. What compels men to turn themselves into killers of other men? War is evil. All of it. Yet so many embrace it, love it, make a career of it and we venerate and adore them.
I will never visit another military park / national cemetery again. They glorify war. They glorify the destruction. They glorify death. It is evil.

It's ironic. We visited Stone Mountain in Atlanta and on the side of Stone Mountain is an incredible carving featuring Jefferson Davis, Robert Lee and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. It's larger than Mount Rushmore and the idol heads located thereon. The carving is now in a considerable state of disrepair. Why? Because Davis, Lee and Jackson are now seen to represent racism and treason. I find it ironic because these men didn't start the Civil War. They reacted to it and followed their home states but today they are reviled and their names are trodden upon. At the same time a huge, disgusting temple adorns the mall at Washington DC dedicated to Abraham Lincoln and inside is a massive idol of the man sitting on his throne. Abraham Lincoln started the Civil War by signing the Morril Tariff into law. Abraham Lincoln continued to wage war against the southern states when the southern states only wanted to be left alone and go their own way. Abraham Lincoln unleashed his Satanic generals (Sherman and Grant) to wreak havoc on innocent women and children in the southern states. Robert E Lee didn't do this. Stonewall Jackson didn't do this. Jefferson Davis didn't do this. Abraham Lincoln DID do this. He's regarded as a hero. He has a monument dedicated to him. His likeness appears on our currency and coins. The other three? Racists! Following orders is a reflex deeply ingrained (and engrained, on purpose). It can, and does pre-empt moral values, particularly under time pressure not allowing for reflection. I ALLOW the excuse under such circumstances. Should the pilots of the recalled aircraft have refused the order to return to the carrier?
You bring up a very important point. Normally, following orders does not preempt moral values. In fact, following orders is governed by a virtue, that of obedience. For centuries, Monks took a vow of obedience in order to combat the vice of the pride of life. Subordinating one's will to that of another is a very high virtue indeed and leads to humility, which is the foundation of many other virtues.
HOWEVER(!!!!!) Obedience is not the highest virtue, and the only person to whom we can give absolute, blind obedience is God Himself, as when he ordered Abraham to sacrifice his only son Issac, or when Joshua was ordered to destroy the city of Jericho. To all other persons, our obedience is predicated and subordinated to the Natural and Divine Law. Nobody can order an inferior, even one who has taken an oath, to violate the moral law or his conscience. And anybody who would follow such an order makes himself an accessory to the crime of the superior.
If I had been the squadron leader of that attack force, I would have refused to return to the Carrier until I was satisfied the crew of the Liberty was out of immediate danger (aka The Israeli strike aircraft had left radar range) and I was assured an escort was on the way to protect the Liberty. The only reason to have abandoned the Liberty would have been if the Aircraft Carrier itself was imminent danger or civilians needed to be protected.
Every serviceman should remember that he does not take an oath to any individual but rather the set of principles enshrined by the US Constitution, especially to protect the rights to life and liberty, and this is the highest duty of any serviceman, even if it means contramanding the orders of a superior. Lyman Lemnitzer was a United States Army general, and Robert McNamara was an American businessman and government official who served as the eighth United States Secretary of Defense from 1961 to 1968 under presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson at the height of the Cold War.

I've been trying to figure out if the terrible weaknesses of Whites are genetic or cultural. I think the jewish infiltration and subversion of Christianity has played a large role as well.
