Donald, an update on my quest to opt-out-of-Medicare-that-thought-was-resolved: last I related was the state had signed me up for plan B welfare against my will, and I was forced to jump through hoops to get released. So in May, I get another letter from SS saying, once again they will be deducting from my SS check for plan B. By now I realized this nightmare was not going to end without help from the top. I contacted my senator. His office was able to get the two payments deducted for June and July returned to me. I have been assured the problem is now "fixed". I will believe it when I see it. The ironic thing is, had I just let this slide...and allowed the taxpayers of my state to shell out for something I would never use...I would not have been forced back into paying for plan B. It was not enough for me to fill out documents two months before my birthday, and hand deliver them to the SS office...all in order that I would NEVER be on the Medicare rolls...not even for one day. Trying to be proactive with our worthless government is futile. The attitude is: "Peon, you WILL stay on the medical deathcare reservation...and if you dare stray off...you will be punished.
Being automatically signed up for Medicare at 65 is a total scam. I would like to exit it myself, and not have the money taken out of my SS. Which is quite meager.
Go to your nearest SS office. Ask for the paper to opt out, fill it out and return it. It will probably take a few months. Call your senator if you don't get action.

Well, you call the SS office a few months before your 65th birthday, and ask them to send you a document to sign that says you do not want Medicare. I went to the office to deliver my document, because I don't trust the USPS . Then, supposedly they will not take any deductions for Plan B. However, do not expect it to go as planned. It's very clear that they want to make it hard for anyone to opt out

Donald, an update on my quest to opt-out-of-Medicare-that-thought-was-resolved: last I related was the state had signed me up for plan B welfare against my will, and I was forced to jump through hoops to get released. So in May, I get another letter from SS saying, once again they will be deducting from my SS check for plan B. By now I realized this nightmare was not going to end without help from the top. I contacted my senator. His office was able to get the two payments deducted for June and July returned to me. I have been assured the problem is now "fixed". I will believe it when I see it. The ironic thing is, had I just let this slide...and allowed the taxpayers of my state to shell out for something I would never use...I would not have been forced back into paying for plan B. It was not enough for me to fill out documents two months before my birthday, and hand deliver them to the SS office...all in order that I would NEVER be on the Medicare rolls...not even for one day. Trying to be proactive with our worthless government is futile. The attitude is: "Peon, you WILL stay on the medical deathcare reservation...and if you dare stray off...you will be punished.

Go to your nearest SS office. Ask for the paper to opt out, fill it out and return it. It will probably take a few months. Call your senator if you don't get action.

Well, you call the SS office a few months before your 65th birthday, and ask them to send you a document to sign that says you do not want Medicare. I went to the office to deliver my document, because I don't trust the USPS . Then, supposedly they will not take any deductions for Plan B. However, do not expect it to go as planned. It's very clear that they want to make it hard for anyone to opt out

I can testify that even when they tell you’ve successfully exited the system, you haven’t—it continues to be deducted from your SS payments. Medicare seems to be an out of control system.
