Which of course the controlled authorities more often than not turn a blind eye to. The dumbed down, brainwashed masses are also programmed to quickly forget the lies they're constantly fed by the System, this exacerbated by endless, vacuous distractions. That is, those not so dim that they realize they are being lied to in the first place, a minority of the populace.
