I suggest reading the 16th and 17th amendments as those are the destruction of state control of the Senate, and the theft of your income. A patriot doesn't fight foreign wars for bankers and foreign oligarchs. They fight to free Americans from an overbearing government. That is the true purpose of the 2nd amendment.

Hear ya, spot-on !!!!! The Government is an institutional "Creature" who should be very "minimal" !!! Just saying

Pursuant to Article V the state's suffrage in the senate can't be abridged. The 17th Amendment changes the way the senators are elected however the state legislature has the authority to instruct them how to vote. AZ and GA could recall their democratic senators if the people become constitutionally literate and tell their state legislature what they want them to do using the petition process.

While that is true. There is another truth that Americans need to grasp very soon. That is that the US government is a fascist oligarchy. So that trying to work within their system to change it by voting is a fool's errand. A pacifier. Lysander Spooner spelled it out succinctly. Read His- " No Treason, The Constitution of No Authority".

I agree we can't vote our way out of a corrupt system particularly in federal selections. We can petition the county supervisors for the redress of grievances per 1A. As a republican form of government the constitutional authority is there we the people are at fault for prioritizing ball games and Netflix over holding politicians accountable.

I would ask, who are the terrorists? Are they the people fighting an invading army or are the the invaders? It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

It may be true that the US government is the least terrible of all governments. When was the last time congress actually passed a law that resulted in the citizens becoming freer than before? But then freedom and liberty are states of mind. Does the DC Cesspool love you? At times when they need your wealth and money or they need your vote to keep the tyranny rolling.

How loving would your government be if a third party was to take control of the DC Cesspool? Are they gonna love you if the country splits in half as it probably should? The government has all but trashed the constitution and continues to freely bypass it. Did congress declare war on Iran or any of the other ME states?

I know, I know...stop complaining and be grateful for what we have. Sorry, no can do.

Property taxes alone make America a completely unfree nation. Try not paying your property taxes and you'll quickly see who truly owns and runs everything. It isn't the people. Freedom? Not hardly.

We pay property taxes with money upon which federal and state taxes have already been taken. Let that sink in for a moment. We pay sales taxes with money that has already been taxed. We pay taxes on money that has already been taxed over and over and over again.

What do we get for Federal Income taxes? Not a goddamned thing. We still have obscenely expensive private healthcare, not social medicine. We have an invasion sized force of illegal immigrants camped out in our cities and no military any where to protect us from them. I suppose the interstate highways are maintained by tax dollars so there is that benefit.

"Freedom isn’t free is not simply sending America’s sons and daughters off to fight in foreign lands."

I don't know if the author is saying that going to war in foreign nations is patriotism or not but I am here to say that IT IS NOT. Much, if not most of what the American military does these days is completely illegal and unconstitutional and contrary to what the founders envisioned for this nation. George Washington, in his farewell address, admonished our forefathers to avoid all foreign "entanglements." Our ancestors distant and near, not only ignored this admonishment but jumped head long into countless foreign entanglements that have bankrupted our nation and caused us to waste our strength and means making wars in foreign lands that pose no threat to us.

In my opinion, this is the antipathy of patriotism. This is participation in the military/industrial complex and most of our soldiers today are "company men" doing the bidding of their wealthy industrial overlords. Shame on them taking oaths to defend the Constitution but then engaging in actions that are entirely contrary to the Constitution, all the name of "defending freedom" or "following orders."

I sat in church on Sunday and listened to many praise our troops for "keeping us free" and "defending us from the enemy." Who exactly is our enemy? Iranians? My big ass. Never been threatened by any one from Iran. Not ever. Mexicans? Maybe, they are interloping in our cities and changing the political structures but our vaunted military can't be found anywhere near the southern borders.

Ask a military man or woman what we were doing in Afghanistan and see what their response is. They don't know. These people are not heroes. They are extensions of a deep state that spreads death, destruction, depression and chaos. Heroes? Not hardly. Patriots? No way.

A true patriot fights against this system and truly defends the Constitution and its principles. People take the oath today not knowing or caring what it means. Frauds, all of them. Period.

The constitution wasn't the problem. The problem has always been a failure by the people to defend it. It's fashionable to herald the anti-federalists as prescient and correct when in fact the federalists did everything they could to give the people the power to hold the government in check. The globalists came in through the back door not because of the constitution but because of the people who were called to be watchmen.

We can still agree to disagree ... for now!

Best of luck, either way, 😜

The American experiment of the original founders died with the Articles of Confederation. The US Constitution created the environment whereby the Federalists could grown and corrupt the system into the massive fraud stricken oligarchy we endure today. Andrew Jackson, Abe Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, LBD, Ronald Reagan and others did exactly what they were supposed to.

The US Constitution is an epic failure. It failed to keep the government in check. It failed to limit the size of the government. It has failed to maintain and protect our rights. Well, correction, I should say, the people failed to preserve the Constitution. The Constitution in and of itself, is nothing but a rotten piece of parchment paper if the people refuse to abide by its mandates and limitations.

Henry Knox's avatar

The AOC had to be blown up. They couldn't buy a pencil without unanimity. The continental congress tried 8 amendments to fix it and couldn't get all 13 to go along. The constitution isn't the problem. In fact it's a brilliant gift. The problem is you and me. As a republican form of government we're responsible for holding the politicians accountable. The globalists have effectively removed civics so we're constitutionally illiterate. Check out ReclaimingTheRepublic.org

Cankerpuss's avatar

Yes, the AOC didn't work. You are correct. My point is that the Republic that was envisioned by the founders changed forever from a union of sovereign states to a Federalist utopia with smaller administrative districts. Abe Lincoln saw this through but the US Constitution enabled this. The US Constitution, at its base, is an excellent document, but, you cannot deny that the US Constitution has failed to do what it was intended to do. Even the founders knew that the US Constitution would fail. I believe it was John Adams who admitted that the Constitution was wholly inadequate for an immoral people. I don't state this to point fingers but to only point out the fact that under the US Constitution the US Government has become a massive leviathan with an insatiable appetite consuming everything it sees. It wasn't supposed to happen this way with the US Constitution.

See the second paragraph in my comment above. I said, "Well, correction, I should say, the people failed to preserve the Constitution." I had already acknowledged the points you made in your reply. The people failed to uphold the Constitution.

Any form of government will fail if the people refuse to adhere to its mandates and principles. So, yes, it is the people who have failed.

"As a republican form of government we're responsible for holding the politicians accountable. " And how do we do that, HK? Voting? Yeah, right. Our elections are a sham and a world wide joke. Protest? And end up in prison like the J6 people who were guilty of walking into the capitol after the doors were opened? Refuse to pay taxes? And lose all that I have worked to obtain over the years?

Let's face it my friend. We are boned. The US Constitution is a failure because, like John Adams said, it is completely and utterly inadequate in an immoral population and the USA has never been a moral nation.

Henry Knox's avatar

We agree on many things except for the boned part. :-) We both see that the failure isn't in the Constitution which was ratified by men who in spite of their flaws were desperately seeking to protect liberty. The last clause in 1A tells us we have the right to petition government for the redress of grievances starting in the counties. We just recognized 250 years of steady decline in the protection of rights. For the sake of our progeny and those who've sacrificed their lives we're called to reverse the trend away from the constitution to it becoming a light on the hill.

""A true patriot will defend it's country from it's government." Jefferson"

Love it. Keep up the great comments, HK. We need more of you.

Henry Knox's avatar

Thanks the same to you. We're called to spread the word to give Patriots hope in the constitution rather than going down the wrong paths including Article V conventions, the courts, the GOP or the sovereign citizen movement. Due to these false solutions we're fractured and weak. United we stand divided we fall.

Cankerpuss's avatar

We are certainly too divided to unite as a people and that, I believe, is exactly what they intended to do to us. We are divided in so many ways. White vs. black. Old vs. young. Male vs. female. Tall vs. short. East vs. west. Religious vs. the atheist. Fat vs. thin. Gay vs. straight. Bald vs. hair. Meat eaters vs. vegan. Republican vs. Democrat. Oil vs. anti-oil. It goes on and on and on.

If we could just unite, even just a small percentage of us, monumental changes could come to light. However, I don't see that happening. I suppose that is why I consider myself to be "black pilled." There are some good eggs out there, such as our host, but there are so many varied millions upon millions of opinions and views that we will never come together and the good eggs are typically unheard or ignored.

"Read the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution, otherwise known as the Bill of Rights, signed into law on March 4, 1789. Check it against where and what we are today. Give it some thought."

Great idea.

Then read Marx's 10 planks of the Commie Manifesto and compare that with the BoR and where we are today.

Next, read the "Protocols" paying no mind to the claim that they may be apochryphal, since that's irrelevant, and compare them to what we're experiencing today.
