The "migrant crisis" did not happen overnight.

When I was younger, back in the '70's, I recall my brothers' little league teams having to play an inner city parochial team loaded with Hispanics. These boys had flunked several times, and so were four years older, and with twice the physique, of my brothers. I recall my brother Sean pitching in the second inning of a game against St Leo's. The opponent's lineup each got to bat three times. After no less than 25 men had crossed the plate the coaches called the game. It was devastating.

Now, in retrospect, I can see that the league operators and parents either saw nothing wrong with this dysfunctionality, or were full of sympathy for those "poor Puerto Ricans" and wanted them to somehow fit into the local culture. Or perhaps it was all about the league being able to bend the eligibility rules so they could have a powerhouse team that might go to the state finals, (and play against other similarly constructed powerhouse teams from other cities) and fair play and sportsmanship be damned in the process. I do believe twas the latter.

Another example: the clock movement assembly plant in Bavaria was mainly staffed by migrants from Saudi Arabia and Iraq. These were Muslims. They were cheap, but dedicated, labor. And, yes, this was way back in the 1970's.

When I was in High School, my antagonist in freshman year was a big burly Hispanic, Pete Rosello, who was so unruly he collected 30 demerits in one week, was suspended, collected another 30 the next week, was suspended again (along with a suspension of the rules, as collecting 15 demerits in a semester after a suspension was grounds for expulsion) and then, after another 30 demerits, was finally expelled. And meanwhile, he had left a trail of wrecked humanity in his wake: students threatened at knifepoint, meaningless bullying, demonstrations that intimidation will get you your way... heck, this clown was even intimidating the teachers and administrators. This dude did not need therapy sessions or counseling, this dude needed the Inquisition.

In retrospect, I can see now that the snakes really running things were just using the feminists, the antiwar protesters, and the black activists as useful idiots to promote their agenda and garner the "long march" through the institutions, while meanwhile the White Anglo Saxon Protestants did nothing but sympathize with what they perceived to be the downtrodden. Meanwhile, closer to home, the parents abdicated on their authority and wanted the police and the schools to raise their kids for them. And the snakes happily obliged. We got the nanny state, the "war on drugs", and, later, the surveillance networks.

For well nigh half a century we have been asking for this, and now we got it.

The Star Wars Prequils were for the most part astoundingly atrocious. But Padme Amidala did give us one good line: "This is how democracy dies... to thunderous applause."

The time for action was 1973, shortly after abortion was "legalized" by the supreme court. When it quickly became apparent the political process was not going to work, either at local or national levels, the Italian grandmas should have taken matters into their own hands with iron skillets and rolling pins.

But everybody just stuck their heads in the sand, and hoped things would not get too bad in their neighborhood.

Well, there goes the neighborhood.

White Wolf: Great comment. The only disagreement I have is you stating that "parents abdicated on their authority...". Thanks to LBJ and Nixon's Vietnam War and War on Poverty and Drugs, inflation went through the roof in the 1970s and both parents now had to work. The parents didn't have any choice about abdicating their authority over their kids to the state.

Expand full comment

Thanks Timmy Taes for the compliment. When I said that parents abdicated on their authority, I was making a general statement- not a personal indictment on anybody's particular set of parents. You are correct that "inflation went through the roof" in the 1970's but I do not see how that caused "both parents now had to work". I think that statement is much more applicable to the 1980's and 1990's, when a more creeping inflation coupled with de-industrialization and the disappearance of well paying jobs to be replaced by the service industry battalions of hotel maids and burger flippers being the cause of the two-parent-working lifestyle. Back in the '70's, both parents worked not so much because they had to, but so they could afford a more affluent suburban lifestyle and "keep up with the Jones'". (Why anybody would want a swimming pool in their backyard I do not know. Do people have any idea what a headache maintainence is? Same thing with having a boat or an RV or a plane.) Back in the '70's it was still ridiculously easy to move into the country, get chickens, plant a garden, and start an orchard, but nobody wanted to be bothered.

You mentioned LBJ's "War on Poverty". That was a big cause of parents abdicating their authority right there. Huge grants were given to inner city school systems so they could supply free breakfast and lunch to the kids. Ma now had an inducement to send her children off to the gov't babysitters and fritter away her time watching Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and All My Children. Let's face it. None of this happened by accident. The Conspiracy knows how to cater to our fallen nature while all the while convincing us we are being virtuous sheeple.

My grandmother knew how to bake a cake from scratch- flour, sugar, water, eggs, and flavorings she mixed with a spoon. My mother bought a box of cake mix and added water and used an electric mixer. My sister just buys a cake at the grocery. See the progression? (My sister thinks it is drudgery, pure drudgery, to buy a can Pillsbury dough, slice it, and bake it in the oven to get chocolate cookies. She also thinks that anything you actually have to heat on a stove, rather than nuke, is hard labor, such as making a hard-boiled egg.)

If you drive on I-90 across South Dakota, I-80 across Nebraska, I-70 across Kansas, or I-40 across Oklahoma, you will pass scores of homesteads abandoned during the Great Depression, and never rebuilt. If you actually get off the proverbial beaten trail and drive down some of the dusty rural roads, this becomes even more apparent. They used the depression to destroy rural America. Mission Accomplished.

It is encouraging to see things like the chicken revolution, with lots of even suburbanites getting a small flock of free rangers, and more people having gardens, and, finally, a flight from the socialist conquered cities. But people need to get ahead of the herd, and not merely follow it.

White Wolf: You make another great comment. I can only speak for myself and my wife in the 1970s. We both worked. We had two young kids in Seattle. We'd moved there from Nebraska in 1976. We both had to work to make ends meet. Day care is still a horrible memory for me. Our kids hated the day care. I was an aircraft mechanic and my wife was a nurse and inflation still ate up all of our money. I had to pilfer Presto Logs from Safeway to keep our house warm.

I lived in the South Dakota countryside from 1971-73. I saw those abandoned homesteads. I lived in some of them. It was like living in an abandoned past full of artifacts. The cast iron stoves were still there. They were too heavy to move I reckon.

What the Democrats and welfare did to African-American families, and others, is a crime against humanity.

It has never been easy for the average person, because the wealthy have always siphoned off most of the wealth, through the system they developed and control. But for the most part, almost every job paid a living wage in America from the early 1950s through the early 1970s. You had strong unions, which made grocery store cashiers, for instance, a well paid profession with excellent benefits. When feminism succeeded in getting women out of the home and into the workplace, theoretically that should have doubled the standard of living for every married couple. Seems like pretty basic math. But it didn't. In fact, as in your case, even with good jobs, Americans seemed to fall behind. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

DJ: Yes, especially Seattle has strong unions. I just read a biography of Dave Beck the famous head of the Teamsters Union. He lived in Seattle and loved the city. Beck from millions of dollars from the Teamsters into Seattle back in the 40s and 50s. Beck was responsible for much of Seattle's prosperity and that of the middle class. Of course RFK went after him and he went to jail for a few years on McNeil Island on bogus charges, but Beck came through it stronger than ever.

My wife was in a union, but I was not. I worked in general aviation as a seaplane mechanic at Kenmore Air Harbor on Lake Washington. It is the largest privately owned seaplane base in the world. I specialized in maintaining and rebuilding the company fleet of planes.

Thanx for the continued exchange, and the very interesting tidbits. I love getting stuff on the ground, so to speak. Substack seems to be the Internets last stand. The shills and chatbots have claimed most of the other websites and platforms.

Good grief you are even older than I am. You must be quite the fossil there! Well, Seattle was, at any rate, hardly representative of most of the country. The west coast in general, and Washington State in particular, was always an expensive place to live. I don't know whether that is because of transportation costs, infrastructure (most water out west comes from resevouirs somewhat distant from the communities. Orange County California, for example, gets it water from places as far flung as Oroville and Yuma.

You should write a substack about your experiences in South Dakota just for the record.

You are right it was a crime against humanity. But it was not just the Democrats. In fact, I lay most of the blame squarely on the shoulders of Pius XII. And it was worldwide, not just the United States.

In the United States, Democrats like Ted Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, and Jimmy Carter are the Manchurian Candidates they want us Christians to throw the rotten tomatoes at. Meanwhile, they give the liberals Ronald Reagan, Jesse Helms, and Pat Buchanan for targets. I left the game earlier than most. By 1989 I mightily regretted holding my nose and voting for the "lesser of two evils"- George Herbert Walker Bush. I realized twas all a clown show, and have not cast a vote since. Politics, I realized, was all a grand distraction, a total waste of time much better spent on our knees.

I'm just going to pop some corn, sit back, and enjoy the political theatre, while meanwhile I will hit my knees and beseech God and Our Lady that they pluck at least a few souls out of this inferno before everything completely burns to the ground.

God bless all the roads before you.

White Wolf: Water was cheap in Seattle back then. There is a huge water reservoir up by Everett, WA (named after Rockefeller's son). Everett was just north of Edmonds, WA where I lived. Rockefeller built the reservoir and a railroad for his gold and silver mines at Monte Cristo in the Cascade Mountains. Rockefeller pulled out $2 million in gold and silver, but he spent $3 million. Their are still signs of the old ghost town of Monte Cristo and the RR. It's an interesting story. There are books about it. I used to hike up there with my kids.

Electricity is pretty cheap in Seattle, too. There are hydro dams up on the Skagit River in the Cascades that provide power for Puget Sound. Food is expensive and so is gasoline and heating oil. Houses were cheap in the 1970s but interest rates were 20% or more.

I wrote about my South Dakota adventures in a screenplay 11 years ago. I don't want to revisit those memories again. But thanks for liking my comment and stories.

Two parents working also means 2 taxpayers paying taxes. We can blame another social experiment for this: consumerism.

In the later 70's to early 80's - our Wranglers, Levis and Rustlers were displaced by Jordache and as Sosson jeans. Labels became a thing. I can remember my Dad going ballistic because I talked my Grandmother into spending an extra $4 for suede Pumas rather than canvas Converse Allstars! Slowly our economy has shifted from manufacturing to consuming what other countries manufacture.

Absolutely- the deindustrialization of America, fueled by NAFTA and other disastrous trade deals, massive immigration lowering wages, exploding CEO pay, outsourcing, foreign visa workers, to name just the most obvious parts, is a huge reason why we find ourselves in the situation we're in. And with both parents working, shouldn't that have doubled the tax base? It didn't, just as it didn't increase the standard of living. Thanks, Wade.

As I understand it, it is the work of Satan, from the time of Adam and Eve. It is the reason the Devil was cursed so as to have to crawl/ eat dirt for defiling the white race by defiling Eve, or God's chosen people.

However, because the white race is not righteous, by protecting itself, it has fallen into adultery (making itself impure), and is itself cursed.

If black is the absence of light, then what is white?

Put quite simply, white is the presence of the whole spectrum of visible light (that is, the presence of all visible colors). All of these colors when viewed together combine to produce the color white. That is why, in an RGB LED lamp, you have Red, Green and Blue diodes (tiny lights) and, when all of these are lit together, you have white light. I am so sick to death of the black/white bullshit! El Paso has always had a HUGE illegal problem. Generally they are eventually bused back to Juarez. Recently the Mayor declared a State of Emergency. A friend who lives in EP told me that this was because the Federal Govt. will now supply much needed funds for EP to continue to bus illegals back home. He didn't seem concerned about a permanent "invasion". And the Tijuana/San Ysidro border is so strict that they do not seem be having El Paso's problems.. Having lived in Tijuana & crossed that Border many times, I know that particular Border Crossing doesn't mess around. They've been know to shoot at cars trying to sneak into the USA. So my question is: Has anyone seen an influx of illegals into their communities? Any first hand experience? I wonder how much of this is real & how much is fear mongering...

When I was in El Paso the place where I was staying was two hundred yards from the border. My German shepherd got stolen in broad daylight- some illegals just lured him into their pickup and roared away. Anything not bolted to the ground or a wall was guaranteed to get legs and walk away. Vehicles were routinely stolen from the mall parking lot- destination: chop shops. In some of the stores, if you could not speak Spanish, forget it. No one could understand you. At least once a week somebody would break through the fence and try to crack a window. Definitely the third world outside the gates.

Under Trumpowitz, more illegals came into the U.S. than under Bwack Obongo. Trump was created to make stupid whites think they have a champion. They don't. Now under the administration of whoever the senile fool wearing a latex mask pretending to be Joe Biden is, the tidal wave has turned into a tsunami, as was planned so very long ago. Gus Russo in his excellent book, "Supermob" devoted a whole chapter to Ronald Reagan. Few people know that Reagan was originally a very left wing Democrat. His kosher handlers began fine tuning his speeches moving them gradually to right wing rhetoric. They found that this greatly increased his popularity and the size of his crowds. One day they told him, "Ronnie boy, from this day forward you will be a Republican!" Reagan of course obeyed his handlers and presto, Ronald Reagan, the blowhard, con-artist-servative, blight wing politician was born and the sheeple didn't even blink. How can anyone with two brain cells to rub together believe that Ronald Reagan, who acted in cheap, grade "B" movies for the Jews in Hollywood was not continuing to act a role for the Jews as president of the U.S. is beyond me. New Brunswick, NJ, home of the state university, Rutgers U., population approx. 60,000, had two blocks of Puerto Rican families in the 1960s. By the end of the 90s, the city was, and is approx. 75% Hispanic of every variety, Mexican, Honduran, Dominican, Nicaraguan, etc. It is impossible to determine which of these groups if any is a plurality. Extrapolate this cataclysmic, demographic shift all over America. I think it was about 15 years ago when white deaths annually exceeded white births and have ever since. By the end of the 80s it was too late to save white America, even if all immigration was halted back then when you factor in the non white birth rates juxtaposed to whites. Also in the 80s, I recall reading a traveler to San Francisco stating that there was a section of the city that was literally all Chinese. The street signs, billboards, publications, local radio & TV, everything Chinese, including of course the people. No English spoken or written anywhere. A beachhead of China in Uncle Saul's America. That was over 40 years ago. The gooks own over half of California now and considerable parts of the rest of the country. Saying whites are superior to any other race is engaging in a tautology. Unforgiving nature has only one criteria for that. Which race survives, increases, and thrives and which race does not. As the white race is so obviously being bred out of existence and helping the process to accelerate, what village idiot would even surmise they are superior? The fat lady has sung and the curtain fallen. Albeit depressing, a great article, Don, Thanks.

"President Joe Biden recently reiterated, once again, that the greatest “threat” to the “homeland” is White Supremacy."

This is a simple way for the Department of Homeland Security to their turn multibillion dollar budget inward to castrate white American citizens. The department which was originally intended to protect our border from bad actor immigrants like the 9-11 hijackers (wink, wink) can now direct their efforts toward domestic terrorism as it seems external threats are no longer a worry (again wink, wink). (They never fully explained how we managed to allow more middle eastern immigrants into our country in the 20 years since 2001 than any other 20 year period.) Oddly our attempt to wipe out radical middle eastern fundamentalists created more dislocated brown middle easterners that needed relocation to our 'evil empire' as refuges, convenient, no? Create a war under false pretenses, bomb the crap out of them using our patriotic MIC, creating record profits for military contractors then import the people whom cities and towns you've destroyed.

Taking the next step is to realize the pushing of Critical Race Theory to kids of all colors with it's supposition that all whites are racist, which makes all whites White Supremacists, which in turn makes all whites domestic terrorists.

Ergo ..... you could marry a black spouse, live in a predominantly black community, have mixed race kids and embrace the black culture, but by the color of your skin at birth you're automatically a racist/ domestic terrorist whom needs further control and/ or punishment!

Easy enough.
