Much appreciation here!

Definitely looking forward to passing the Hidden History book around once finished in hope of opening more minds. I would love to get the book into the hands of a neighbor I struck up a conversation with at another neighbor's party last month, admittedly after a few too many strong homemade ales. I started in about a certain group of folks possessing an inordinate amount of power, and if i recall correctly, the neighbor further summoned me with something to the effect that 'I bet you're one of those people that question 911' It was as they say.... all downhill from there. But if that first chapter on JFK does not raise ones eye brows, well then, I don't know what would...

Don't think about Wikipedia. They will change whatever positive write-up is initially posted. This is particularly important if any of your work is even slightly political. They are an unethical outfit, even the original cofounder said the same. I know a few who got on only to see their story spun in the worst light possible. They deeply regretted being on a site that far-left lunatics run.

Exactly right, Phil. I was scrolling down to see if anyone had mentioned that in reply to Donald's reference to a wikipedia entry. There's no reason at all to voluntarily give wikipedia a shot at ruining anything you post about yourself. Anything you post to wikipedia becomes their property and they will "edit" it as they see fit. Anyone deciding whether or not to post a page for themselves should just do a search of some names they know to see what their wiki page looks like.

Hopefully Don will write about the miscreant Wiki-liars. That will get him more support than a WikiLie page will. ~~ j ~~

It's strange that my novel "The Unreals" has had its own Wikipedia page for several years now, despite selling less copies than my other books. Several people have told me they were going to start a Wikipedia page for me, questioning why I don't have one. But one has never appeared, to my knowledge. I have no idea how these things work, other than supposedly random people can create pages, and later edit them with their own personal bias. Thanks!

Gosh, Don, as a commenter on another Substack site said the other day, "Social media is not real life. People don't live on social media." It points to the larger (metaphysical, if you will) issue of Illusion. If life itself is an illusion (which it is, according to Advaita Vedanta), then the Internet and all that you aspire to achieve on it (your voice being heard on multiple platforms, your books selling in high numbers, etc.) are all the MORE SO. I like reading your stuff. But this seeking after "quantity," which this article seems sort of steeped in, has a feeling of desperation, no offense. Be content with the fact that you have a tangible asset in the form of a home, a social security check you receive every month, and a "fast-food wage." I'm in my 50s and I have only the last item and will never have the former two. Perfectly happy with my situation, honestly. And...Wikipedia?! The CIA-operated site that would morph your entry into a veritable takedown of you as a "right-wing" loon?! You can't aspire to THAT! And I think you need to get off Facebook, the once DARPA-based project that is still obviously run by the Deep State. These are NOT valid platforms for a person with something legitimate to say. Continue doing your research and writing, stick with Substack as a chief online platform (until it goes bad, that is), and, sure, sell the occasional book. But don't seek after "more and more" in all that, because then you're (back?) on the treadmill (which, again, is what this article feels like) and living a kind of literary rat race. Doesn't become you.

I appreciate what you're saying, Rob. I am not desperate personally, but I think we are forced to use the internet, and especially social media, in order to have any chance at stopping the slide towards total tyranny. Like many people, the cyber world has usurped the real world in my life. I see very few real life friends any more. Beyond my wife and children, and one sister, my large family is fractured. Most of them think I'm nuts. But through my writing and podcasting, I've met many great people who have become my closest friends. Most of them I will never meet. So it's the cyber world I turn to for support. Family and friends in the real world don't even acknowledge that I write books, let alone regular posts on Substack. If they listen to my show and interviews, they don't admit it.

I constantly stress that we have to try to make inroads on the Wikipedias and YouTubes. Otherwise, we're just preaching to the choir. There are people out there who can be awakened. But they don't know about, let alone come to, the alternative platforms available to us. I understand your point, and respect it. Maybe I'm tilting at windmills. I do that a lot. And I know how blessed I am. I honestly have this do-gooder gene in me, a quest to stop corruption and injustice. As I've noted, I've watched way too many Frank Capra Films. And read too many superhero comic books. Thanks.

Listening to you, Billy Ray, and Tony on America Unplugged has inspired me to get back into making music. My latest song is about how I’m not voting. I have over 2000 “friends” on FB. I shared the YouTube Link there, and I got zero response. Zero. Maybe you would like the song. Check it out if you have a chance.

Sorry I shared it twice. After I realized this was such a an old thread. I’m still trying to figure out how Substack works.

Yes, and one must understand that owning something, even a low read web page, that you own, is far more valuable than renting space in social media platforms.

The world is ran by a giant algorithmic fractal. It’s all controlled and moderated. If China has a full blown social credit system, then America and perhaps the rest of the world is soon to follow. I just assume to unfollow the algorithm and opt out or as REI says #OptOutside. I’ve jumped ship from FB and Twitter 3 years ago. So I kind of feel like I’ve been social media sober. One day atta time, right? Well hopefully SubStack and other online platforms will be able to brave the storm and prevail as time goes on.

Donald, you had the misfortune of reaching literary success, just as interest in books began to plummet. I have not been back to my local library since the scamdemic made the hysterical Karens who work there, actually sterilize the returned books. I have had enough. However, I will go online and request that they purchase all your books.

My own website was shadow- banned, beginning in 2015...but I couldn't care less. I mostly put it up for myself.

I have said that often myself, Kris. If I'd been published 50 years ago, I would be doing quite nicely. But then again, it would have even been harder to get published then, considering my perspective on controversial subjects. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the days of alternative media are numbered.

It's just a question of time until they pull the plug on us and the world goes dark.

Meanwhile it's been a pleasure to listen to you on Rense, America Unplugged, and read your substack.

I know I need to support Rense too. I'm ginno do it soon too. He's been a guiding light for many years. I only discovered his channel recently though, having grown suspicious and weary of Clyde Lewis, who's program has become damn near unlistenable.

The problem with substack is that so many people there think that they can flood your inbox with redundant crap and then grift for money for all their redundant crap while they believe that they are

actual authors of original material.

I also support a music station, 97five, for classic beautiful music, if anyone misses the early years of

that style. Give it a try. It's great for when you are cooking a nice meal and need to listen to fine music. Good music = happy chef = good food.

Classical music- no wonder you love Jeff! Yes, I know they're coming after us. That's why we have to use our huge numbers advantage any way we can. Thanks!

I hear you, loud and clear. My Substack is also growing, while my comments on YouTube garner nothing but crickets anymore, because I am being shadowbanned there.

But the whole internet is becoming increasingly unstable. I'm pretty sure that Donald Jeffries and Tony Arterburn and their dogs and wives are out there, but not sure about so many other things.

If the Ukraine War was good for anything, it showed how bots can fake and spread supposedly candid videos.

Meanwhile, most of the people frequenting social media have the attention span of a timber wolf surrounded by 30 females in heat. What with bots and notifications and incoming calls and tweets and likes and loves, the average person is constantly bombarded by zingers screaming for his attention.

Moreover, the average person on social media is much more interest in the latest hockey score than their impending doom in a world where their various accounts are losing spending power with each passing moment.

Good luck in suburbia. You're gonna need it!

I know that a lot of us are being shadow banned. Just subscribed to your Substack. I'm hanging on in suburbia for as long as they let us exist. Thanks!

We're already way past most of Daniel, deep into Matthew 24, and started on Revelation. America is falling, the nation that turned its back on God.

I should have gotten my family out before we got settled in here in the USA, but momentum has us still here in Miami.

Are you from somewhere else? Run, don't walk. The rats in D. C. have invited in the hordes, for the slaughter.

What we need is not to be part of a choir being preached to, but to be engaged in a dialogue where we can push back against the lies and propaganda being spoonfed to us.

Good luck getting on Fox news or any other Mainstream outlet. Like Eustace Mullins once said, any face you see on Television is owned lock stock and barrel by the powers that be. You start getting too close to the truth and your gone- (Tucker Carlson). Two things you will never hear from a politician they will never talk about The Federal Reserve banking system or criticize Israel if they do it's a death sentence. I too live on social security, my bodies all beat up from over thirty-five years of the window cleaning business. Like the old blues song says I'm Going Down Slow. Its real sad to see what's happened to the country after what my dad and uncles and that generation went through hitting the beaches at Normandy and getting slaughtered. I have an uncle who was on the front lines in Korea who slept on the ground in winter it was over 30 degrees below zero. I know all the wars were fought for the bankers it's, sad anyways. I feel sorry for the young people coming up they are really up against it.

Algorithms are inherently rigged by their programmers.

Social media is nothing more than spying with a smile.

Expand full comment

Absolutely, Vonu. It amazes me that anyone would wonder what AI will be like. If it's being programmed by evil, corrupt people....Thanks.

The mainframe computer (IBM 1440) I began my academic programming career by repairing, by replacing a 39 cent transistor, had a red knob on it which would immediately stop its operation if pulled out. We called such the "coin return" and they are usually placed on automated machinery as emergency stops. Anyone who is worried about AI turning on us should be working for laws that require the inclusion of coin returns... As long as I can pull the plug, I'm not worried about what the programmers wrote.

I started buying books again a few years ago when I sensed the need to have information in my hands, instead of just on-line. Hidden History was one of the first (and I liked it so much I got the audiobook too!). I truly wish I could pay for subscriptions to all the substacks, podcasts, and other on-line content I follow. I’m just so grateful for all of you who stay in the fight the way you do, Don.
