Good summary of fear, really like the byline. You can strike nuclear bombs and fallout off your list, however, because there is absolutely no proof that either exists. Fukushima and Chernobyl were just excuses for an Urban Land clear to get people off the land and into the cities. Just knowing that all our enemies are fictitious should give people enough time to rest and enjoy life.

So true about the Weather Channel. They have more drama than a daytime soap opera.

I used to live in San Diego and my favorite weatherman was John S. Coleman. He actually founded the Weather Channel, then sold it off to, (you know who), those who own everything now.. Well he used to sound off on the climate change and how ridiculous it was. As he got older he got better. He called Global Warming the "greatest scam in history".

He was 83 when he passed away, but he was in very good shape. Extremely lucid. Now I really wonder whether his death was natural or not. So many have becomes martyrs for the truth. We will one day realize this when we pass over to the other side ourselves.

Excellent. As I have grown older (72), I guess my greatest fear now is that of dying over which I have no control in the longer run. So to heck with it. Fearing covid, asteroids and Russia? Not much on my radar and never will be. Viruses do not exist outside of man, asteroids are a dime a dozen and Russia is more democratic than the US. But that saber-tooth tiger roaming around in the back woods...he's got me real scared.

Well said, Donald. I was a rare child, in that I pretty much rejected everything my elders were telling me. All those points I remember arguing with my "betters" about...it has now been proven (at least to me) that I was right all along. A big one was the utter pointlessness of dropping those two bombs on Japan. No adult could ever convince me that there was any reason for that mass murder. Now we know that Japan had offered to surrender months before that bombing.

As independent as my mind was, that crying Indian really got to me...at a visceral level. I was pretty much a radical environmentalist for decades. It has only been in the last 20 years that I see how much of the environmental movement was fear porn. I vividly remember celebrating the first Earth Day at my elementary school. It was a veritable fiesta. We were all to come dressed as one form of pollution personified. I remember one little girl dressed as Water Pollution. She had a huge TIDE box on each foot, and another around her body supported by shoulder straps. Ever then, the doubts were creeping in...if TIDE was so terrible, why was her mother using so damn much if it? It is comforting to realize, that my critical thinking skills were developed at age ten.

After chem-trails, the pollution if our waterways by Big Pharma drugs is the absolute WORST environmental disaster of our time. The water treatment plants can't remove drugs from waste water, that goes back into rivers. In some rivers the estrogens from birth control pills have caused local wildlife to have morphed sexual characteristics. But the MSM and the Globalist "environmentalists" will NEVER, EVER mention this.

Thank you Donald for the excellent article. I remember air raid drills in grade school and how that put some serious fear into our young lives. In my early teens, I thought my only chance at Heaven was to be run over by a truck as I crossed the street on Saturday afternoon after confession. The nuns had me convinced that having an impure thought about Sally was just as bad as actually physically getting somewhat close and personal with sally. When you're 12 or 13, you have about 15 minutes all day that you're not thinking of Sally. Finally, I have a couple of weather sites bookmarked on my computer, and I'm continually amazed at all the scary weather warnings, predictions, disasters, etc they make you aware of when you visit their site. I have yet to visit the weather site and come away feeling that everything was fine. I only visited the site to see what I should wear on my exercise walk and I didn't need to know that most of the west coast will likely be in the drink by noon!

A solid piece. I’ve missed your last few (wasn’t notified - I’ll look into my Substack account settings - don’t think they have Twitter-like algorithms :)). Love the bit about FDR & Huey. Your thoughts remind me that we’re not really in an era of Right vs Left but more like Right (critical thinkers) vs Wrong (sheeple). It’s not necessarily a worse setting ... although in GOP vs Dems at least is is somewhat balanced ... whereas today it seems the sheeple are 90+%.

Keep fightin’ & writing!

Excellent commentary, as always! I do say that all of you suffering from lingering catholic guilt complexes really do not need to nurture those fears along. Jesus Christ is fully God as well as fully man. He died for your sins and mine, and He is more than big enough to cancel them all out - if we turn to Him and ask Him to do it. As for the fear porn propagated by our government & its enforcement bureaucracies, I guess we just stand our ground, refuse to back down before it, and help each other along when and where we can. But the more they try to terrorize me, I have to say, they are failing. I am getting REALLY angry instead!
