Wow! Perfectly penned! I’m one of those traditional homemakers who has stayed home with our three children. I still home-school our 15 year-old while doing a ton of work with our family business (our own cigar company). It is extremely challenging and exhausting work but we sure are tight as a family unit and all three kids lean decidedly conservative. Working outside of our home would have been a much easier route but far less rewarding and our kids would have felt the necessary neglect. Oh and I might add that at different points, we were dirt poor but we managed the best we could and taught our children some great survival skills.
That’s sounds pretty perfect! Our oldest two attended a hybrid Christian school for high school. It was a wonderful experience for them. Their teachers and administration really “walked the walk!”

Our oldest is a senior in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech. He just received his first “B” ever! He is truly the sharpest, most hardworking, honest and mature young man I’ve ever seen. He’d make a fantastic president but alas, he prefers the life of a rocket scientist.

We are all living this wild unraveling experience, but for some, they just can’t see it. Or refuse to. Like my in-laws for instance. I’ve always loved being a homemaker, & wanted more children. We had fertility issues & only had one. I’m grateful for the one God blessed us with. I just wish I could’ve gone through his childhood without the extreme pressure of needing to work. Always the need to supplement my husband’s salary while trying to be the best Mom I could be. It was hard. At least I was able to homeschool for six years. Grateful for that opportunity as well. It was pretty magical, & our son turned out pretty well. College messed up his mind though. He came home from college during the covid scamdemic to finish up online. His father & I had the pleasure of witnessing his Thesis presentation for graduation online, & that was an eye opener! Let’s just say. I knew then, we had made a grave mistake sending him to college & taking on that debt. The debt we are still paying off three years later. We saw the top faculty of his Honor’s College at work & it was less than impressive. To put it mildly. And now we are having to attempt to deprogram his indoctrination in the woke mentality! It’s put our little family of three in a tailspin these past 3 1/2 years. We’ve reconnected in a big way through our collective interest in firearms & Second Amendment rights. Thank God for this! I had a rural childhood, and the men I grew up around could pretty much do everything...they had to...because no one else was going to do it for them. My grandpa was a wonder. He kept a small farm (using draft horses, didn't get a tractor until very late) while working as a carpenter/logger/commercial fisherman. He lived to hunt. We would gather at the kitchen window to view his kill-of-the-day. He once raised two bear cubs because he killed the mother not knowing she had cubs (people in that area swore bear fat beat lard for baking). I fondly remember the wonderful toys he created for his grandkids. He could make or repair anything. I often wonder how different my childhood would have been had he not been struck and killed by a car when I was age six. That sent my family into a tailspin, and some members never recovered. They started acting very strangely.

My grandfather was much like yours, except he was tamed by the East part of the country. Raising bear cubs would have got one thrown in jail. I had a maid service for awhile a few years back, and every young woman the service sent had to be taught to clean house.
Even the hardest working one, a young Mexican girl, had no idea what they were doing.
Every single one was amazed to learn that once the floor is mopped it must be rinsed. For some, that revelation alone was not enough,and I had to explain that you can't just leave shampoo in your hair, you must rinse it out, same deal.
Cleaning glass with newspaper and vinegar was also a source of amazement as was the need to buff out any streaks, but it was maintaining my non garbage disposal sink by pouring boiling water down it nearly sent tfen into shock.
And again, these were allegedly professional house cleaners, that's how bad it's gotten.
But she was every bit the embodiment of that mantra. The only thing she shared with the others was ignorance of the methods I listed
Once she did know those things, she did them perfectly, listened closely to everything I aaked.

I do honestly agree with you on many of your points. For quite some time, when he was younger, I pushed him to consider Hillsdale or Liberty University. But alas, he has a mind of his own. We are all living this wild unraveling experience, but for some, they just can’t see it. Or refuse to. Like my in-laws for instance. I’ve always loved being a homemaker, & wanted more children. We had fertility issues & only had one. I’m grateful for the one God blessed us with. I just wish I could’ve gone through his childhood without the extreme pressure of needing to work. Always the need to supplement my husband’s salary while trying to be the best Mom I could be. It was hard. At least I was able to homeschool for six years. Grateful for that opportunity as well. It was pretty magical, & our son turned out pretty well. College messed up his mind though. He came home from college during the covid scamdemic to finish up online. His father & I had the pleasure of witnessing his Thesis presentation for graduation online, & that was an eye opener! Let’s just say. I knew then, we had made a grave mistake sending him to college & taking on that debt. The debt we are still paying off three years later. We saw the top faculty of his Honor’s College at work & it was less than impressive. To put it mildly. And now we are having to attempt to deprogram his indoctrination in the woke mentality! It’s put our little family of three in a tailspin these past 3 1/2 years. We’ve reconnected in a big way through our collective interest in firearms & Second Amendment rights. Thank God for this! I had a rural childhood, and the men I grew up around could pretty much do everything...they had to...because no one else was going to do it for them. My grandpa was a wonder. He kept a small farm (using draft horses, didn't get a tractor until very late) while working as a carpenter/logger/commercial fisherman. He lived to hunt. We would gather at the kitchen window to view his kill-of-the-day. He once raised two bear cubs because he killed the mother not knowing she had cubs (people in that area swore bear fat beat lard for baking). I fondly remember the wonderful toys he created for his grandkids. He could make or repair anything. I often wonder how different my childhood would have been had he not been struck and killed by a car when I was age six. That sent my family into a tailspin, and some members never recovered. About fifteen years ago, they " took over" an old neighborhood downtown. They have transformed it from dark and depressing to bright and beautiful.New roofs, new siding, sod where needed, flower beds and gardens are now de rigeur, and I can only imagine the remodeled interiors.
Our local " Farm Market an exceptionally well run and beloved business managed by an incredibly hard working guy I consider a friend named Dave.
And he presides over a precision team who could do instructional videos on maintaining a sense of urgency consisting of...you guessed it! Mexicans!
And the reason I am sure that at least most are legal is because they were raided and carded and not one has a green card, all they have are their birth certificates, and Immigration hasn't bothered them since.
We like our Mexicans and I believe they remind us of our better selves, from better days.
And they despise border jumpers and run angry editorials in the regional Spanish language newspapers.
Which rams home my final point that Leftys are lying when they equate the two groups.
None of the praiseworthy stuff applies to border jumpers, it all comes down to a soul deep sense of integrity the border jumpers lack entirely.
I have often said that we are very fortunate here in the southern part of the United States that the immigrants breaking through our border are, for the most part, Mexicans or other New World Hispanics. They have a basic Christian belief system even if not Christian and they are for the most part industrious and cheerful workers. We are so much better off than our white counterparts in Europe! God has blessed us even in the type of illegal immigrants that are breaking into the country.
